C2C LAB

The C2C LAB in Berlin is the world’s first comprehensive inventory refurbishment according to Cradle to Cradle criteria and makes it a tangible and practical experience as an educational centre, NGO office and living laboratory. As a quality and innovation driver in Berlin the Cradle to Cradle NGO  sets new standards for healthy and recyclable innovations with a positive footprint. The C2C LAB brings C2C Changemaker together and expedites the transition to a C2C future. It offers workshops, lectures, panel discussions etc. for all age groups and all levels of knowledge.

With the C2C LAB we live the C2C school of thought and the design concept – starting with the world’s first renovation after C2C and the furnishing of the rooms, through the topics of the events to the people we work with. The C2C LAB is a unique project and stands for new perspectives on the handling of resources and the use of regenerative energy, how we deal with the diversity of people, events and the environment and on the importance of the human being as a beneficial animal.

The C2C LAB is the right place to break old thought patterns and advance new thinking.

The C2C LAB in Berlin offers a central event location with a public education calendar and a concrete event season. In the premises of the C2C LAB, people of all ages and levels of knowledge have the opportunity to take part in seminars, workshops, lectures and panel discussions on C2C from business, science, education, politics and society. In addition to our wide range of educational offerings, we offer guided tours for school classes, groups and those interested in C2C. Through regular community meetings, the C2C LAB is a meeting point and platform for a strong C2C community and at the same time a training centre for C2C ambassadors. Political events, C2C (expert) forums and much more – let us inspire you and continue your education! In this way, we can share our expertise and shape the debate together.

With 700 volunteers organized in over 50 initiatives all over Germany, 6 departments and 14 team members in the federal office, the Cradle to Cradle NGO is a constantly growing NGO. The C2C LAB offers a long-term perspective to enable the continuous growth of our NGO, to meet the steadily increasing demand for C2C topics and to further expand our educational and networking activities. At the same time, the C2C LAB increases C2C’s presence in political Berlin and offers space for political, economic, scientific and social discourse for a positive footprint.

Green walls that clean the air, carpets that absorb fine dust and office furniture that are not only healthy for people but also for the environment. And all this in such a way that raw materials are not lost, but can be recycled at the end of their useful life – this is what C2C looks like in building and architecture. These innovations are made visible for the first time in the C2C LAB as a C2C lighthouse project on 400 square metres of best practice. Thanks to numerous partners for refurbishment and ongoing operations who share our mission of a C2C future, the C2C LAB is both a practical example and a living laboratory. The focus for us is on testing and promoting innovations, as well as clarifying our understanding of C2C quality and showing what is new in the C2C world. This is how the C2C school of thought and the design concept are put into practice. Everything is united in one place – the C2C LAB.
